What data do we collect?

When using the application normally, no data is collected or sent to the developer. All data the user enters into the fields of the application is stored locally. The user has the possibility to backup his logbook database to Google Drive, a cloud storage service run by Google, or Apple iCloud, a cloud storage service run by Apple. If the user wants to use the feature via Google Drive, he is required to log in with a Google account by the means of an OAuth2 login procedure. To avoid further logins, the user's email address is then stored locally in an encrypted manner.
Furthermore, when reporting errors of the application, the user can choose to create a log file and send it to the developer. The log file consists of information about the operating system, a timestamp, the actions triggered within the software before any error occured and (if any) errormessages. Primary means of communication for resolving errors in the application is via email. All information sent to us via email is then stored accessible only by the developer until the inquiry was handled or the problem has been resolved.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Our Company with all of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Send us a “Bug Report” or a log file via email

How will we use your data?

Data stored locally on your device can and will not be used by the developer. If you are sending us a bug report, the data you sent will then be used to resolve any problems arising within the application.

How do we store your data?

Our Company securely stores your data on our machines accessible only by the developer. Our Company will keep your data until the inquiry is handled or the problem has been resolved. Thereafter we will delete your data by removing it from our machines.

Privacy policies of other websites and third party services

Our application contains links to other websites and uses third party services. Our privacy policy applies only to our application, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.

If the user wants to backup his data, the application uses a third party service provided by Google: Google Drive. To use this service, a login using OAuth2 protocol is required with the connected Google account. Then Simple Log's database can be backed up to the App Data directory of the users Google Drive. The developer has no access to that data and account information required for authenticating all data transfers with Google Drive is stored encrypted on the user's device. If you want to delete your locally stored account information, you can do so via the in App options. Any information stored within Google Drive has to be deleted there.
For further information on how Google handles your data refer to their privacy policy here.

On iOS and macOS devices there is also the possibility to backup data via the Apple iCloud, another third party service we have no influence on. No further Authentication is required and files stored via iCloud backup are subject to Apples privacy policy found here.

Worldpixel Software is not responsible for how data is handled by third party service providers.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
